Frankfurt Bus Accident: 12-Year-Old Child Sustains Serious Injuries
In a tragic incident that occurred on September 5, 2025, a 12-year-old child was involved in a collision with a public bus on Kurzmainzer Straße in Frankfurt.
According to the accident report filed by the responding police officers, the child was walking on the sidewalk in the same direction as the bus. The driver was unable to brake in time to avoid the collision, after the child stepped unexpectedly between two parked vehicles and crossed the road.
The child sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Thankfully, there was no immediate risk to the child's life.
The accident happened around 17:50 and the affected area was closed to traffic for approximately one hour.
The public bus was traveling from "Am Leisrain" towards "Alt- Sossenheim" on Kurzmainzer Straße.
